South Luangwa National Park is Zambia’s premier wildlife park, with magnificent wildlife and many great cabins. Where the now popular walking safaris originated from over 60 years ago, this African destination retains some of the most exceptional world-class safari tour guides.
Few parks have South Luangwa’s high position of guiding collectively with its extraordinary wildlife spectacles, day and night, in the separation of a pure wilderness. On this seven day trip you will spend you mornings game viewing, either by a 4x4 game drive or walking safari, returning to the lodge in time for brunch before an afternoon/night game drive.
The Luangwa Valley is the birthplace of the African walking safari and offers possibly the most authentic bush experience in Africa. Walks are led by knowledgeable and passionate guides, escorted by an armed national park scout.
Driving safari gets visitors deep into the remote corners of the park to see its animal inhabitants in their natural surroundings. Four of the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – are among the attractions. Hyena, wild dog, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, numerous antelopes, and hippo can also be seen.
Night game drives offer the chance to catch sight of elusive nocturnal wildlife among the bushveld, such as civets, genets, hyenas, and leopards. Stunning bird species that only make an appearance at night include nightjars and an amazing variety of owls. Watching predators hunt is a visceral and haunting experience.
A full-body spa treatment can offer some well-deserved relaxation between safaris, including stress-relieving massages, reflexology and moisturising wraps.

When you arrive at Lusaka International airport (LUN) you will be met by our representative and he will assist you with your luggage then transfer to Protea Hotel Tower in Lusaka where you can spend the rest of your day relaxing.

Today you will have breakfast at the hotel and then check out, our driver will transfer you to Lusaka international airport and you will be met by our representative to check in onto your Local flight to Mfuwe in Luangwa National Park.
When you arrive at Mfuwe International airport, you will be met by the guide from Mfuwe Lodge/The Bush Camp Company who will help you with luggage and then transfer you to the Mfuwe Lodge.
Check in and then brunch will be served and you will have free time to relax.
Later in the afternoon tea/coffee with snacks will be served followed by the afternoon/night game drive of about four hours, you will be returning to the lodge after you night game drive for dinner.

Today you will have breakfast and then check out of Mfuwe Lodge and you guide will take you on a game drive transfer of about three hours depending on what you see on the way as you travel through the beautiful South Luangwa National park.
Arrive, check in and then lunch will be served and free time to relax before the afternoon/night game drive. Watching the sun go down, the spotter will be helping your guide with a spotlight in search of nocturnal animals. Return to camp in time for dinner and enjoy some drinks.

My husband and I were on a 10-day trip to Zambia organized perfectly by Absolute Zambia Safaris.
We visited the lower Zambezi national park, South Luanga Park and Victoria Falls. The entire Iterinary along with flights and road transport whenever needed well planned as according to our requirement. Would recommend their guidance for anyone looking for a wonderful holiday in Zambia.
Fantastic planning and arranging of this trip by Robert of Absolute Zambia Safaris — everything was perfect from start to finish. We were picked up on time for all activities, the hotel was great — good food, nice pool, wifi, etc and good location, the white water rafting was great, Angel Pool was very much enjoyed by everyone and the sunset cruise was almost empty — so we had the entire upper deck of the boat to ourselves. The food on the boat was tremendous, and the sunset magnificent. Everyone said this was possibly the best holiday ever. We are very grateful to Absolute Zambia whose flawless organising of all of this made it happen.
Absolute Zambia Safaris organised a 2 week trip in Zambia for us — to South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Livingstone. All bookings can be re-booked like-for-like at no cost for new departure dates up to 15 months ahead. We can assist with private PCR testing as required for your return journeys.
